Solar-term boundaries are exact astronomical instants (China Standard Time). The year pillar changes at 立春 Li Chun, months at each 節 jie. Born 23:00–24:00 is treated as the late Zi hour 晚子時: the day pillar stays on the birth day, the hour stem follows the next day — the classical convention.
